Down One Bourbon Bar and Restaurant <http://www.downonebourbonbar.com/> celebrates the Run for the Roses with a special Derby Party on Saturday, May 3rd, after the races. It is sponsored by Buffalo Trace Bourbon. Guests can choose from two options: dinner and drinks for $100; or drinks only for $75. A full buffet dinner will be served from 7 to 10 p.m., and dinner guests are welcome to stay until 1 a.m. Drink only tickets are for 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. A limited open bar will be available all evening featuring select Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Sazerac products. Other products will be available at a cash bar. A band will provide live entertainment throughout the evening.

The restaurant, located next to the KFC Yum! Center on the corner of Third and Main Streets, and has become a featured Bourbon spot along Louisville’s expanding Bourbon Row. It is squarely in the middle of the planned bourbon distilleries along Main Street, and features more than 100 bourbons, rye whiskeys, local craft beer, specialty cocktails and distinctive wines by the glass. It has also selected a single barrel of bourbon and bottled it as a private collection, changing selections as its signature bourbon is consumed. Currently, the proprietary barrel is 1792 Ridgemont Reserve. Down One’s food menus have also grabbed the spotlight, featuring flavors that are layered in an extraordinary way.
