If you are a woman in your childbearing years, this event is for you. We celebrate positive, informed birth in Louisville and southern Indiana at hospitals and in the home.
Exhibits with local professionals in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and more will be available for one-on-one discussions with visitors. An array of door prizes, live music on the beautiful Woodbourne House stage, and all the food you can eat or take home is under the great tree-lined sidewalks and grounds.
Bring a blanket or some chairs for music and picnics in the arbor. There are picnic tables, gliders, and benches available. Music on the historic Woodbourne House stage will be:
John Gage
Kri -n- Hetti
Terpischore Dance Company
The Cool Hand Ukes
Leigh Ann Yost
This will be our third year partnering with the Douglass Loop Farmer's Market. It's a great family-style event because you park once and spend as long as you like in a festival-oriented marketplace with prepared foods for both breakfast and lunch as well as Kentucky Proud shopping for the household.
There is strong community spirit and always few booths for education and activism, making the Douglass Loop market one of the most diverse and unique.
