Diamond Rio will be the headliner entertainment during the 43rd Swiss Wine Festival in Vevay, IN. The group will perform on Friday evening, August 22, 2014 beginning at 8:45 p.m. at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park located at 100 Ferry Street. The event is free with a paid festival admission of $5. This year’s Swiss Wine Festival will take place on Aug. 21-24.
Six-time Vocal Group of the Year, Diamond Rio won their first Grammy for their album The Reason, which also garnered the band their first Dove award. Formed in 1984, Diamond Rio features lead singer Marty Roe, guitarist Jimmy Olander, drummer Brian Prout, keyboardist Dan Truman, bassist/harmony Dana Williams and Gene Johnson on mandolin/harmony.
The band will be available after the concert to sign autographs for a limited time.
After Midnight will perform a musical tribute to the 70s from 6:45-8:15 p.m. before Diamond Rio takes the festival stage. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating. No coolers will be permitted. Additional musical groups will perform throughout the four-day Swiss Wine Festival event.
