Since 2007, Charleston, S.C.-based Guerrilla Cuisine has been renowned for their underground dining events that feature experimental cuisine, music and art. On
Tuesday, April 3, Seviche chef/owner Anthony Lamas will join the ranks of celebrated chefs participating in the organization’s “On the Road” series, which takes the feast for the senses beyond Charleston. Led by Guerrilla Cuisine organizer jimihatt, the Louisville, Ky. dinner will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at an undisclosed location where Lamas will cook for dinner guests. Event participants who register at gcanthonylamas-eorg.eventbrite.com will receive an e-mail with directions to the location of the dinner two days prior to the event. All guests must make reservations in advance and present their ID at the door. The price is $70 plus a $25 suggested gratuity, and guests are asked to bring their own beverages. Past Guerrilla Cuisine events have been held in warehouses, vineyards and private homes. Culinary talent showcased at the dinners has included Sean Brock of McCrady’s, Nathan Thurston of The Ocean Room and Nate Alton of Pearlz. With the tagline “Food for the People,” the underground supper club aims to raise appreciation for local chefs, musicians, artists and farmers. Seviche is located at 1538 Bardstown Road in Louisville, Ky. Chef/owner Anthony Lamas was a 2010 and 2011 semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation “Best Chef Southeast” award, and the restaurant was named one of the “ten great places for Latino flavor and flair” in the country by USA Today. In 2011, chef Lamas won the Extreme Chef title on Food Network.
