A soulful, rootsy gumbo of rock, blues, country and folk that has invited comparisons to
Steve Earle, John Hiatt and Peter Case.
"A topnotch debut...dude, take a bow."
Sid Griffin, MOJO Magazine
“Wonderful music—tight, melodic, beautifully layered...brimming with emotion and hard-earned wisdom.”
Jeffrey Lee Puckett, Louisville Courier-Journal
As a public radio producer, Dan Gediman is best-known for his award-winning work on All Things Considered, Morning Edition, and This American Life, a well as being the executive producer of the This I Believe series, which has spawned eight bestselling books, including the New York Times bestseller This I Believe: The Personal Philosophies of Remarkable Men and Women. As a singer, songwriter and band-leader, Dan has been active in the Louisville music scene since the mid-80s. His two most recent albums, I Began To Fall and I'm Trying, were released on ear X-tacy® Records and received significant airplay on AAA and Americana outlets around the country. Often placed into the Americana or roots-rock genres by critics, Dan's music can defy easy classification. One writer has dubbed it "bluegrass-flavored chamber rock"; others have called it "folk-pop."
A 1998 Kerrville Folk Festival finalist, Dan has shared the stage with several notable acts including Patty Griffin, James McMurtry, Dan Bern, Alex Chilton, The Connells, and Blue Rodeo. He was also a finalist in the Napa Valley Music Festival's Emerging Songwriter Showcase. His previous albums have included Out Of The Darkness (duets with Peter Searcy, former lead singer for Squirrel Bait) and Something Big.
