A Crescent Hill Community Council Invitation

Remember the Tornado of April 3, 1974?
Remember what you were doing that morning and after the tornado hit?

Crescent Hill Tornado Reunion will take place in Kennedy Park on Kennedy Court in beautiful Crescent Hill on April 5th. Dr. Harvey Sloane, the Louisville Mayor in 1974, now lives in Washington DC. He will be in Crescent Hill to talk about the tornado and relive memories with the community.

Steve Wiser will emcee the brief program. Others to speak include Crescent Hill resident Allan Steinberg, former Alderman and co-founder of Louisville Historical Society and Jay Ferguson, Louisville Water Company.

Around 2:00 PM the reunion will move a short distance to St Mark’s Episcopal Church at 2822 Frankfort Avenue for a reception. Come see old newspaper articles, scrap books with photos and enjoy a discussion of memories. Please bring your own photos, too!
