Community Living, Inc. has formed a partnership with 502 Power Yoga Studio in which all donations received at the Studio’s 4:30 p.m. Sunday classes will benefit the nonprofit organization. Donations are encouraged at any amount that attendees are comfortable in giving.

Community Living, Inc., a nonprofit organization which has empowered and supported people with developmental and intellectual disabilities since 1981, was chosen by Sarah Smith, co-founder of 502 Power Yoga, to participate in this donation-based class during the months of July, August and September of this year.

“We are honored to be the recipient of class donations from 502 Power Yoga this summer,” said Steve Zaricki, Community Living, Inc.’s Executive Director. “Community Living Inc. provides staffed residences throughout the entire Louisville community, including the Highlands. Therefore, we appreciate these partnerships with local companies.”

Community Living Inc. was founded in 1976 as a program of the Council of Retarded Citizens of Jefferson County. It has been operating independently as a private, non-profit agency since 1981. Community Living has been an active member of Metro United Way since 1985 and is also affiliated with Seven Counties Services, Inc. as part of a regional system of services for citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Its mission is to enhance the lives of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, to encourage self-determination and to serve them with quality, long term individually designed residential and support services.

502 Power Yoga is a joint collaboration between Louisville native, Cat Larimore, and Sarah Smith, who moved to Louisville in July 2013.
