She also had another sell out Solo Show in Hong Kong; meanwhile she entered a juried compassion for a large scale, out-door work, to make a long story short/she won/took almost a year to complete and is now installed in the forecourt of the Institute of Anthropology at the J.Gutenberg University in Mainz. It is a freestanding wall about 9 feet tall and 30 feet wide consisting of 18 printed panels. It is named " Ricercare" (exploring??!! ) and meant as an incorporating Image for a human beings investigating as well as a human being investigated. Willkens has gained a great reputation for her "traffic stopping" works of art!
A new fundraiser for historic homes combines bourbon, chocolate and art. Yum!
Art Eatables, 631 S. Fourth St., has partnered with artist Alicia Dawn Criswell to create a new fundraising project for five historic Louisville homes. The Louisville Landmarks Series consists of five distinct chocolate collections, each dedicated to a specific historic building with a specially commissioned rendering of the home
And if you are still stumped on who created "Key West", that was Louisville's own Joyce Garner, that piece and other works of pure genius will be in our excellent show:
