Bicycle Indiana and the Indiana State Department of Health will co-present a seminar in Jeffersonville on Thursday, June 30, designed to help communities and businesses learn about the benefits of and process for becoming more “bicycle-friendly,” a designation awarded by the League of American Bicyclists to communities, businesses and universities nationally.
The local host of the seminar is Brian Fogle, director of planning and zoning for the City of Jeffersonville.
Presenters will include Pete Fritz, RLA, AICP, CPRP, healthy communities planner with the Indiana State Department of Health; Mike Lindbloom, physical activity specialist with the Indiana State Department of Health; and Nancy Tibbett, executive director of Bicycle Indiana.
The seminar is open to the public but designed to appeal to city leaders, planners, engineers and cyclists. Continuing education credits can be earned by professional engineers, landscape architects and certified planners who attend. Register at www.BicycleIndiana.org.
