Join us this summer to explore how blindness has been depicted in Hollywood in our first APH Museum Film Fest. Each month we will screen a film featuring a major character who is blind, followed by discussion. All movies are presented with audio description for the blind. The film fest is part of Bards and Storytellers, our popular arts, folklore, and performance summer series. Admission is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Call 899-2213 or email kcarpenter@aph.org to register. Best for older children and adults.
A PATCH OF BLUE (1962):
A girl who is blind is befriended by a man determined to help her escape her abusive home life. With Sidney Poitier, Shelley Winters, and Elizabeth Hartman.
