Kentucky is considering giving $18 million in sales tax rebates to Ark Encounter, representing KY reimbursing them for 25% of the construction cost of a replica of Noah's ark. Ark Encounter (AE) claims to be a for-profit corporation, but it is owned by the non-profit ministry Answers In Genesis (AIG) and will be operated by another AIG owned non-profit ministry, Crosswater Canyon. When they want to provide donors with deductions from federal taxes, they act as the non-profit AIG. When they want to apply for the $18 million in sales tax rebates, the act as the for-profit AE. AIG promotes AE as an evangelical ministry (see https://answersingenesis.org/ministry-news/ark-encounter/ark-encounter-g...) and actively practices religious discrimination in employment.

Attorney Dan Canon is best known as the man who forced KY to recognize gay marriages performed in other states. He will discuss issues regarding the Ark Encounter sales tax rebates. He will also answer questions on gay marriage legal issues or any other legal topic.
