The Museum of the American Printing House for the Blind (APH), located at 1839 Frankfort Avenue, will offer its second APH Film Festival, exploring how blindness has been depicted in Hollywood.
Each month we will screen a film featuring a major character who is blind. Nancy Urbscheit, professor at Bellarmine University, who has taught a class called “Disability in Film and Literature,” will introduce the film and lead a discussion following the screening.
SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL (1989).
Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 12:30 p.m.
In See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989), directed by Arthur Hiller, a blind man (Richard Pryor) and a deaf man (Gene Wilder) witness a murder. However, the police are unwilling to accept them as creditable witnesses, and so the pair work together to bring the murderers to justice. Lots of farcical situations and broad humor. Not for kids.
