Kickin' off the merry month of June with a full band in tow, along with a few things up the ole sleeve for this show. ANDREA DAVIDSON has been logging a lot - a LOT - of national touring miles with the legendary Robert Earl Keen these days. She plays her mostly hometown of Louisville when she's able and this marks her fourth show at the Unc but the first time with a full band. Andrea's roots and reach go way back to her childhood home of Madison, IN. She continues to build audiences with her upbeat, open nature as she embraces life with good humor, peace in her heart and a whole lotta love - a winning combination and she wears it well. With a style as eclectic as she is, her broad range of opportunities have followed suit: From sharing the stage with the likes of the aforementioned Mr. Keen to artist-in-residence school projects, from penning award-winning songs for peace to partnering with musicians of many genres. Andrea's own sound crosses the line between the arresting vocals of Patty Griffin and the funky, sensual musical backdrop of Bill Withers. Loops of vocals, guitar, and percussion combine to create a live performance that is sweetly stunning. Utilizing her musical career to assist in the co- creation of a better world, she deeply believes in the interconnectedness of all things. She has an unshakable faith in the power of humanity to heal itself, mother earth, and all life on this planet. Andrea emanates a profound sense of gratitude on stage. Her musical presence infuses a breath of positiveness and hope into those who attend her live performances. Andrea aspires to be a constant reminder that our life is our art: Come wired or tired, she promises you will leave inspired.
