The American Institute of Architects Central Kentucky Chapter (AIA CKC) will hold its annual House Tour on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The seven houses on the Tour will be open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Tickets are $15 and includes access to all houses and will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville.
The central theme for the House Tour is to illustrate the importance of using an architect when designing a residential space.
“When working with an architect on a project, homeowners have a true professional to advise on materials, bring up questions before construction starts, expose the spatial possibilities and generate a living environment that is comfortable and fits the homeowner’s lifestyle,” says Anne DelPrince, a registered architect and member of the House Tour committee. “Architects are part artist, scientist, construction manager, worker-bee and counselor.”
The House Tour plans on expressing this concept by using the theme #WhyArchitects on marketing efforts and social media outlets.
The AIA CKC House Tour will feature homes throughout the city of Louisville at the following addresses.
