Alt-Classical Singer Songwriter Matthew Cochran is a virtuoso guitarist who mixes the plaintive folksong of his native Appalachia with a decade of classical conservatory training. A ten-year veteran of the concert stage, Cochran abandoned strictly-classical performances in 2010 in search of a hybrid between his beloved American roots music and classical composition.
