The Filson Historical Society is proud to present “Air Quality Alert,” a panel discussion on environmental issues affecting the Louisville Area, as a part of the Festival of Faith symposium. The panel will be moderated by Art Williams, coordinator for the Louisville Climate Action Network, and will feature three local environmentalists. Robert Ehrler, senior counsel and environmental policy manager for LG&E/KU, will discuss the history of air pollution regulation in the United States. Ronald Van Stockum, Jr. will address current hot topics in air pollution. Van Stockum practices environmental law in Louisville and holds a Ph.D. in Biology in addition to his law degree. Sarah Lynn Cunningham, environmental engineer and director of the Louisville Climate Action Network, will inform us about local air pollution history over the last century. This panel discussion will take place on Monday, November 7, from 11:30 to 1:30. The Filson will provide soft drinks for those wishing to bring a brown-bag lunch.
