On Friday and Saturday, May 31 and June 1, the Kentuckiana Blues Society (KBS) and Check's Cafe will host the fourth annual Germantown-Schnitzelburg Blues Festival at the corner of Hickory Street and Burnett Ave. featuring Gordon Bonham Blues Band, King Sonic, and River City Blues Band.

This year our title sponsor is Wild Turkey Bourbon. The street festival with outdoor stage will have three blues bands each evening starting around 6:00 pm and playing until midnight. Admission is free and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Jimmy Brown, local blues bass player and the owner of Guitar Emporium, will be honored on this year's festival t-shirt.
