Dalton is our 7 year old son who is affected by cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy and severe social anxiety. Dalton has also been deemed legally blind. Our family is working hard to raise the funds necessary to obtain Dalton a service dog that can assist him with these special needs.
We are fundraising for 4 Paws For Ability, a non-profit organization with 501c3 status. All proceeds benefit this organization directly.
In order to be eligible for a custom-trained service dog for Dalton, we are responsible for fundraising. For every dollar that we raise, Dalton receives one point. We are responsible for collecting 13,000 points.
It's January and you haven't been to yard sales in a few months? Come see us! We'll be inside and warm. Grab a cup of hot coffee or hot chocolate.
There will no prices on items, all items are sold for a donation. We are working on a trust basis. Items are not free, a donation is required.
DO YOU HAVE ITEMS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE? Contact Amy O'Bannon at 502-240-2971 and we will be more than happy to arrange the pickup of any items. If they are large items, we ask that you give us a one week period to obtain the items as we will need to arrange the use of a trailer and get a couple of strong men to help us! All donations are tax deductible!
The question that most people are asking is: Will Dalton be there? We are going to attempt to have Dalton there. We never know what sensory issues come up. If he is tolerant, he will stay. If something in the facility creates anxiety, he will be taken back home to his place of comfort. This is a big reason that we are fundraising for the service dog in the first place.
We hope to see you there!
