Dalton is our 7 year old son who is affected by cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy and severe social anxiety. Dalton has also been deemed legally blind. Our family is working hard to raise the funds necessary to obtain Dalton a service dog that can assist him with these special needs.
We are fundraising for 4 Paws For Ability, a non-profit organization with 501c3 status. All proceeds benefit this organization directly.
In order to be eligible for a custom-trained service dog for Dalton, we are responsible for fundraising. For every dollar that we raise, Dalton receives one point. We are responsible for collecting 13,000 points.
Some of the items that will be available at silent auction include: autographed photos of One Direction, Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen with COA, an Exide racing helmet signed by Jeff Burton, various custom created gift baskets and a pony party for 11 children from the Louisville Equestrian Center.
Bidding will be in a silent auction method, with online bids accepted through our Facebook page (Dalton's Dance).
$10.00 dinner will include: choice of pasta with meat sauce or lasagna (there will be a meat-free option), salad, bread, beverage of choice: lemonade, tea or water (yes, sugar-free options will be available) and soft drinks for an additional charge, and a dessert of choice (will be one fruit based choice and one chocolate choice).
The question that most people are asking is: Will Dalton be there? We are going to attempt to have Dalton there. We never know what sensory issues come up. If he is tolerant, he will stay. If something in the facility creates anxiety, he will be taken back home to his place of comfort. This is a big reason that we are fundraising for the service dog in the first place.
We hope to see you there!
