Presented by the French Section of the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, the UofL Student Activities Board, the UofL Film and Digital Media Program, the Commonwealth Center for the Humanities and Society, and Alliance Française of Louisville.
The Minister (L'Exercice de l'Etat ) tells the story of Bertrand Saint-Jean, Minister for Transport, who is woken in the middle of the night by his secretary when a bus crashed into a ravine. Thus begins the odyssey of a State official through an increasingly complex and hostile world. This surreal thriller has placed director Pierre Schoeller on top of the French emerging auteur list.
