The “Artsy Fish and Aquarium Show” that opened Nov. 2 will be on display through Dec. 9. The exhibit is inside the Switzerland County Visitors Center located at 128 West Main Street in Vevay, IN.
Boasting a large turnout during the opening reception, art lovers were able to enjoy fish formed out of various mediums including wood, paper mache’, clay, repurposed tennis shoes, dried flowers, and more.
“This is a fun and whimsical show,” said Kendal Miller, freelance public relations for the Switzerland County Tourism office. “Using their favorite medium, local artists stepped up to the plate to make some impressive works out of unique materials.”
Participating artists include: Donna Paige Baker, Joyce and Ken Benbow, Wanda Benzing, Martha Bladen, Rosemary Bovard, Tony Catanzaro, Mary Christiani, Jay Davidson, Ann Farnsley, Debbie Foster, Nancy Martin, Marty McGraw, Matthew Nightingale, Meredith Luhrs, Rick Starker, Emma Sullivan, Della Swincher, and Carolyn Wainscott.
The exhibit is free and open to the public during the Visitors Center’s normal business hours. Some works are available for sale.
