Like the big race itself, these events are coming fast out of the gate and will be over before we know it!

Yelp Louisville is highlighting the excitement and momentum leading up to Derby with Yelp's Countdown to Derby — a pop-up event series featuring six events over six days.

Whether residents are in search of great eats, fashion, some Derby de-stressing or even an extra special perch from which to watch the Pegasus Parade, these events have yelpers covered.

Sunday, April 26: We're shutting down Second Street under the Second Street Bridge, and BAREfit Adventure Training will take guests through a circuit of its high adventure-themed exercises. And then we'll reward ourselves with a Kentucky Common beer from Bluegrass Brewing Company because ... well ... it's Derby time and why not.
 

Monday, April 27: Come de-stress from the hubbub of Derby season at Garage Bar. Free massages and puppies to pet included!
 

Tuesday, April 28: Fashion is as much a part of Derby as horses, and the iconic Derby hat will be celebrated at this event at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft with a hat fashion show, hats for sale and a make-your-own-fascinator workshop.
 

Wednesday, April 29: Take a break from work and come to the South Fourth Street district downtown to enjoy the best of what some of Louisville's finest food trucks have to offer. Plus each truck is making an extra special dish using Maker's Mark bourbon.
 

Thursday, April 30: Why sit on the hard bleachers on Broadway when you can sit under a covered porch, enjoy delicious eats and drinks and take part in activities before and during the Pegasus Parade? The Cafe is playing host to yelpers, with discounted eats and other fun. Bring your family, or bring your coworkers.

Friday, May 1: Got the day off for Oaks but don't feel like going to the track? Come down to downtown, and join us on a photo walk. Let's use our cameras and smartphones to capture the beauty this city boasts.
