XXL, of Buenos Aires, first met during a shared dream set in LaGuardia airport, waiting to board Flight 1549 en route to Charlotte, North Carolina. During pre-flight conversations they discovered they had something in common aside from the same freaky dream. They were all in rock bands. The styles of each were quite different, but somehow the same. They continued to chat while boarding, unaware of the strange twist of fate that awaited them. Just minutes into the flight, the pilot suddenly boomed over the intercom, "Brace for impact!" After donning their oxygen masks, and then taking care to assist any small children around them with their masks, the new compatriots exclaimed in muffled chorus, "If we survive this, we form a band!" Everyone survived the crash landing into the Hudson that day. The pact was kept, and XXL was formed.
