Despite playing 20 (yes, 20!) sets in one week at this year's SXSW festival, the tireless band of misfits known as Whiskey Shivers aren't slowing down any time soon, heading out on a national tour in support of their new self-titled LP (produced by Robert Ellis).

A diverse group of talented players, the Austin-based string band stands out like a sore thumb from the tradtional bluegrass world with genre-pushing sound that the Washington Post called "apocalyptic Americana" and Rolling Stone said combines "the fierce inertia of Old Crow Medicine Show, the ramshackle folk punch of Felice Brothers and the punk energy of a pre-sobriety Deer Tick."
