The second annual West of Ninth 5K Run/Walk, organized by Louisville Central Community Centers' Teen Leadership Council, starts and finishes at LCCC's Old Walnut Street headquarters. The route follows Muhammad Ali Boulevard from 13th Street to 24th Street and returns down West Chestnut Street. Participation in this "Healthy Hometown" event supports efforts toward improving economic conditions in west Louisville and empowers young people to have a voice in community affairs. Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m; runners start at 8:30 a.m.; walkers start at 8:40 a.m.
