Jefferson Memorial Forest is happy to take part in the West Louisville Appreciation Days. Staff and volunteers will be at Shawnee Park on July 28, 2018 from 1-5 pm, providing free opportunities for the public to try fishing, canoeing, archery, mountain biking, and climbing. We will be constructing a pop-up nature play area, and staff will be on hand to discuss the West Louisville Outdoor Recreation Initiative and plans for the Shawnee Outdoor Learning Center. Our SummerWorks young adults will be working on a culminating project, interviewing members of the public on film about their connections to and experiences in nature. Come join us for a great day of free outdoor activity in one of Louisville’s most beautiful parks!
