Fair Event Vendors Alliance announces their second annual fundraiser Wes Fest 2015, a large-scale Wes Anderson theme party produced by Heather Yenawine (HAY DJ), Stephanie Lindsay (Green Lady), and Sydney O'Bryan (Director of Event Sales - Louisville Palace / Sarah Teeple (of the band, The Ladybirds) will serve as music coordinator and our poster design is by Ian Herrera.

Wes Fest 2014 took place at The New Vintage, and was a SOLD OUT event with over 90% of the guests in costume! As with last year, musicians and dj will be characterized in costume and covering music from all 8 of the Wes Anderson film soundtracks-- Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom and this year’s Oscar-nominated, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Musical sets will include an eclectic mix of songs from The Kinks, David Bowie, Iggy and The Stooges, Love, Hank Williams, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, The Clash, Elliott Smith, Devo, The Ramones, The Proclaimers, The Beach Boys, The Faces, Paul Simon and more!

Mercury Ballroom will be decked out in Anderson inspired décor, curated by FEVA’s Artistic Director, Stephanie Lindsay, who is also lead designer for the Forecastle Bourbon Lodge. We'll be featuring video art installation, dioramas, and sculptures as well as a Costume Contest with incredible fine art prizes for top 3 costumes!

The event will raise funds for the non-profit, Fair Event Vendors Alliance, and announce the launch of our website  www.fairvendors.org! FEVA aims to connect the LGBT community with Louisville area wedding and event professionals who welcome them as clients and believe in their equality and fair treatment. FEVA also promotes the growth and professional development of that community of support in Louisville. All event proceeds will go towards FEVA expanding membership, developing workshops and preparing to bring our model to other KY cities in 2016.
