Reggae music has never stopped evolving, but it's still defined by the songs of Bob Marley & The Wailers. Even after the loss of their nucleus, the Wailers have continued to bring their heartbeat rhythms that have inspired reggae music since the beginning.
Bob Marley and The Wailers formed in 1969 with members Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, and the Barrett brothers - Aston and Carley. Their music has sold over 250 million albums worldwide and has been the core of reggae music.
The band continues to play live in concert with acts such as Sting, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Kenny Chesney, Jason Mraz, and Colbie Caillat. The anchor of the current band is Aston Barrett who in addition to being Marley's most trusted lieutenant, played on countless other classic reggae hits. The authenticity he brings to the Wailers' sound is indisputable.
