Varanese Restaurant is partnering with Maker's Mark and taking bourbon to the beach in conjunction with the F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop. The event will include an outdoor tiki tent, drink specials and beach decorations. The tropical drink specials include a Pineapple Basil Smash with honey roasted pineapple, basil, tea, agave nectar and Maker's Mark for $8 and a Summer Shandy with Maker's Mark, orange juice, a lager or light beer, ginger beer and an orange slice for $8. Attendees will be able to ride free trolleys during the hop, running along Frankfort Avenue from Cannons Lane to River Road. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (502) 899-9904.
