The University of Louisville Depression Center presents guest speaker, Stephen S. O'Connor, PhD, Assistant Professor, UofL Department of Psychiatry as guest speaker. Dr. O'Connor is a psychologist with the University of Louisville Physicians-Psychiatry and is Associate Director of the UofL Depression Center. His research focuses on improving identification, assessment, and treatment of suicidal individuals in both traditional and non-traditional behavioral health settings. Learning objectives for the presentation include: 1) core aspects of posttraumatic stress; 2) how posttraumatic stress impacts quality of life; and empirically-supported approaches to helping reduce posttraumatic stress. This presentation is free and open to the public - no pre-registration is required.
