Revelry Boutique Gallery welcomes back local artist Lyndi Lou for her 5th solo show on Saturday March 7th from 7-10pm! ‘A Thousand Ships’ is a new body of work combining Lyndi’s passion for pyrography, watercolor and gilded metals. Each piece is a monochromatic, modern representation of a powerful female figure from Greek mythology.
Lyndi starts each piece with delicate line work, then adds layers of watercolors to build up a rich stain and completes her process with delicate metal leafing. ‘A Thousand Ships’ celebrates the beauty and history of strong women in mythology with a modern update of inclusivity. In the face of our challenging era, her collection is a visual statement of female resilience.

"I started this collection because I'm exhausted. I'm tired of being told I can't do things because I'm a woman, having my rights stripped away, and being harassed. I'm tired of racism and xenophobia being normalized. I'm tired of lawmakers who make life harder just to pad their own wallets. I'm tired of the voices of the majority of our country being hushed by the few in control. Painting a bunch of strong women isn’t going to change any of that, but it made me feel a little stronger, too.” - Lyndi Lou
Closing Show & Artist talk - Sunday April 5th from 1:30 - 3pm
