TED TYRO is the nom de guerre of someone named Bart from Owensboro, Kentucky who just happens to make some great, strange, affecting music. According to the Never Nervous review of his release Three, TED TYRO exhibits "a grace and finesse that I rarely hear in most music, especially music that seems entirely like a passion project by the creator. There is no bombast or friction here, just a dedication to simplistic bass work that privileges tunefulness above all else. The lack of what would otherwise be more traditional instrumentation lends an air of oddity to songs that are more or less fairly straight forward when stripped down, which does a lot to elevate the material."
