StageOne Family Theatre is proud to announce the first production of its 2018-19 season, Frankenstein. 2018 marks the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s classic novel, and this October StageOne will bring the story to the stage. Often considered one of the first works of science fiction, Frankenstein explores themes of human curiosity, empathy, and social responsibility – with a dash of horror mixed in.
Frankenstein will be adapted for the stage by StageOne’s new Producing Artistic Director, Idris Goodwin. “We at StageOne are excited to share our new take on Mary Shelly's classic. Her themes of technology, power, and responsibility ring true more than ever in this digital age. While we certainly honor much of the original book’s characters, scenes and ideas, we've charged it with a 21st century flavor that will appeal to a wide range of audience members. On October 15th, it's alive!”
StageOne’s Frankenstein premieres this October. Public and student matinee performance times are available. Tickets and field trip bookings available at www.StageOne.org.
