Perhaps the most produced of all Shakespeare’s plays, this rollicking comedy has it all: royalty, star-crossed lovers, elves and fairies, simpleton townsfolk, magic and mistaken identities. St. Francis middle school students and veteran director Reed Gabhart are excited to present the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of six amateur actors (the mechanicals) who are controlled and manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set. Run time is 2 hours and 15 minutes (includes intermission).
