Mezzo soprano, DeYoung has achieved critical success over the course of her storied career performing a variety of roles with some of the finest opera houses and symphonies in the world. Most notably, she won the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Classical Album.
Her program for the Speed Concert Series will include Johannes Brahms’ Von ewiger Liebe, op. 43, no. 1, Dein blaues Auge, op. 59, no. 8, and Meine Liebe ist grün, op. 63, no. 5; Manuel De Falla’s Siete Canciones Populares Espanolas; and other works.
