Meet and make art with the man behind Frazier’s brand new exhibit, Julius Friedman: Fifty Year Retrospective. An internationally celebrated artist, Julius has fans and friends all around the world, but today we are going to focus on art he has created for groups here in his hometown of Louisville. Drawing inspiration from a display of over 200 posters and installations, the day will include:
• Art-making activities in
o photography,
o rock art,
o collage
• A can-you-find-it scavenger hunt, complete with a prize
• A public art poster-making project to be displayed in the museum
• Toe shoe on egg challenge, recreating one of Julius’ most iconic posters
• Treats from special guest SnoWhat Snoballs, who will be on hand to make a cool day even cooler – and sweeter!
