WHAT: Kentucky Opera will hold auditions for the 2017-18 season. The season will include Dead Man Walking by Jake Heggie and The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini.
WHEN: Saturday, March 25 from 1- 5 p.m.
WHERE: Brown Rehearsal Hall, Artspace Building

HOW: Performers wishing to audition should make an appointment by emailing casting@kyopera.org. Auditionees should prepare and bring two pieces of materials (at least one in English), in addition at least one piece should be a classical song or aria. An Accompanist will be provided and each audition will last a total of five minutes.
MORE: The Supernumerary call is for performers that will have non-speaking, non-singing roles in the opera. Casting will vary by production. Kentucky Opera is seeking performers of all ages, ethnicities and genders. If you are interested in being a supernumerary for next season, please bring a headshot and resume during the 1pm-5pm window. An appointment is not necessary.
NOTE: If performers have sung in the Kentucky Opera’s course since the 2015-2016 season, you DO NOT need to re-audition for this next cycle.
