Do you have the courage to explore haunted Corydon … at night … with only a lantern? Discover the paranormal happenings of this historic town with the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site on October 24.
Lantern-guided walking tours will lead brave guests to various downtown locations with reported hauntings and dreadful happenings. Guests will also have the rare opportunity to enter the historic First State Capitol building and the Governor Hendricks’ House after dark to hear staff experiences with the unknown, certain to make you shiver!
“Each year we add new stories in with favorites from previous years,” said Laura Van Fossen, Corydon Capitol State Historic Site Program Developer. “You’ll learn history along with your ghost stories: such as the true story of the only woman hanged in Harrison County 200 years ago and the grounds she still haunts.”
There will be two ghost tours at 8 and 9:30 p.m. The tours are limited to 30 people and involve walking and climbing moderate amount of steps.
Ghost tours are $15 per person and reservations are required.
For tickets, please call 812.738.4890 or stop in at the site office located at 202 E Walnut Street in downtown Corydon.
