Gordon Biersch is honored to host their Inaugural (will become an annual), Pint’s for Parkinson’s Charity Fundraiser on Tuesday February 24th, 2015 from 6-9pm. This is in conjunction with the release of their newest beer, Rauchbier, which recently took the gold medal for best smoked beer at the Great American Beer Festival in October 2014.
GB will be offering $3 pints of both the Rauchbier and their popularMarzen beer that evening from 6-9pm, all proceeds of sales will benefit the Parkinson’s Center of Kentuckiana. “The Parkinson Support Center is excited to be partnering with Gordon Biersch for this event. Our mission is to promote awareness about Parkinson’s Disease and help those in the Community live well with Parkinson’s. This event will help expand awareness for Parkinson’s in the Louisville Community and all proceeds from this event will go directly to support our education and exercise programs!” states Allie Hanson, Community Engagement Coordinator
In addition to the beer, they will host a silent auction including items such as PGA Senior Championship Tickets, Jim Beam Reserve Bourbons and Barrel Heads, Hotel / Dinner Packages, a chance to win a bottomless growler, and much more. Jason Smith, GB GM is excited to host this event and make it an annual - "I'm excited to help raise awareness to a great local organization that focuses on the education and well-being of not only patients, but loved ones as well. Having recently been diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's, they are a great resource of information, community and support for a disease that doesn't always have an explanation."
Whiskey Bent Valley Boys will be performing a free bluegrass concert during the event so come join us to toast with Das Boot, enjoy some great beer and donate to a great cause.
