With all four parks in The Parklands system now open, our 4,000-acre park system offers visitors 47 miles of hiking and biking trails to explore! Bust out those step counters and join us as we set out to conquer every trail on foot (and a few on two wheels!). Come out to see a new trail, revisit old favorites or challenge yourself to join us for every adventure (three each month). By the end of 2017, you’ll have racked up thousands of steps and countless views and memories!

The Parklands Explorer program aims to promote exploration of the parks, community, and comradery among park users. Participation is free, we just ask that you bring a healthy sense of exploration and a good pair of boots!

The Hickory Trail hike will meet at the Brown-Forman Silo Center parking area at 10:00am in Turkey Run Park. This 3-mile round-trip hike is moderately difficult on dirt surface path. Please come prepared with comfortable walking shoes, water, and a light snack. Hike will go rain or shine unless there are hazardous weather conditions.
