Revelry is pleased to feature a new collection of original spray paint and acrylic paintings by Casey McKinney!

In "Outside the Lines", Casey McKinney challenges our conventional idea of fine art with his colorful, multi-media paintings that bring the artwork off the canvas. After spending countless years in the art framing industry, Casey developed his own style of taking paintings outside the confines of the canvas and onto the frame. This extra dimension puts more emphasis on the artwork itself rather than containing it inside of a rectangular box.

Breaking boundaries isn't something new to Casey, as a teenager he devoted his time and energy into skateboarding and exploring the underground graffiti culture between Washington D.C., Northern Virginia and Kentucky. However, once he moved into an undergrad art program, painting on canvas came naturally and his meshing of mediums morphed into a colorful style full of form and movement. We can't wait to open his new exhibit and fill our space with his vibrant urban landscapes!
