Nice Work is set in the 1920’s and features lots of recognizable tunes by the iconic American duo, George and Ira Gershwin. Splashy scenery, toe-tapping dance numbers. and ridiculous antics will sweep audiences away to a romantic bygone era of speakeasies, dancing, and unforgettable music. The show follows wealthy philanderer Jimmy Winter (junior Mitchell Lewis), who is soon to be married for the fourth (or is it 5th?) time to Eileen Evergreen, the self-proclaimed finest interpreter of modern dance in the world (senior Sarah Denison). His world is suddenly turned upside down by rumrunners and gold diggers thanks to the feisty street-wise Billie Bendix (senior Morgan Prentiss), the wisecracking bootlegger Cookie McGee (sophomore Noah Hankins), and their bumbling sidekick Duke (junior Sam Moore). Buffoonery ensues when Billie’s crew shows up at Jimmy’s Long Island mansion, posing as servants, just in time for the wedding.
