A timely Fast Class at the Louisville Free Public Library examines the history of Russian politics and their impact on today’s world. The program starts with the Chamber Theatre’s performance of Anton Chekhov’s one-act play “The Proposal,” a fast-paced satire about wealth, property, love, and marriage. University of Louisville professor Charles Ziegler will then lead a discussion on Russia’s tumultuous history, focusing on the cultural impact—past, present, and future—of its politics. This program is in partnership with Sister Cities of Louisville, Inc.
