With the passing of Muhammad Ali on June 3, 2016, the Ali Center will honor what would have been his 75th birthday with a special exhibition of tribute works. The Tribute Show allows the Center to showcase unique art pieces that are in our collection or on loan for this particular exhibition. On display will be a variety of art pieces in mediums from oils and acrylic to cut and dyed concrete paver, all creative pieces inspired by The Greatest!
On January 16th (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), the Ali Center will screen MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech, just as we have done in previous years.
The exhibit will run through International Mentoring Day—January 17th—which is also Muhammad Ali’s birthday. A service project will be completed by Ali Center staff and Board in Muhammad’s name. The goal is to donate a collective 75 hours of service for what would have been Muhammad’s 75th birthday.
