The Mayor's Music & Art Series ft. Sound Company
Thursday, October 4 @ noon | Jefferson Square Park (6th and Jefferson Streets)
About Sound Company:
Billy Lease, Hunter Embry and Jeremy Grawemeyer began writing and playing music together in the fall of 2014. Different musicians filled in gaps, while the (yet to be named) group continued to write and demos for nearly two years, as all three members were heavily involved in other notable projects. In early 2016, the band recorded it's first (non-demo) song. It was written, rehearsed and recorded in six hours. "Run" is currently available at Bandcamp. Nick Hall and Jaime Innis joined the group in the summer on 2016 and work on the bands' first full length is underway.
About the Mayor's Music Series:
The Mayor's Music Series is moving outside for the summer months! Please join us across the street from Metro Hall at Jefferson Square Park at noon for a special lunchtime performance.
The Music Series features performances on the first Thursday of the month. The performance will move inside to the Mayor's Gallery on the 4th floor of Metro Hall in case of bad weather. Music starts at 12:10 p.m. with a brief interview between the band and Mayor Fischer.
Guests are invited to bring their lunch or purchase items from the Ehrler's Ice Cream food truck. Enjoy free samples of pizza from Pizza Bar.
The Mayor's Music Series is sponsored by 91.9 WFPK Independent Louisville
