Varanese Restaurant, located at 2106 Frankfort Avenue, will host the “Maury Wine Dinner” on Thursday, April 14, with a reception at 6:30pm and dinner at 7:00pm. The special guest for the evening will be Tim Stratman of Vanguard Wines, who will be on hand to answer questions about the wines being served and their special attributes. Each of the six courses will be paired with a wine from the Maury region of French wine country in the foot hills of the Pyrenees Mountains. Braised Chicken with Oyster Mushrooms, Baby Carrots and Baby Corn
Finished with a Red Wine Sauce

Duck Confit Cassoulet with Slow Braised Cannellini Beans,
Pork Sausage and Roasted Tomatoes Topped with Herb Bread Crumbs
Fifth Course

Grilled Double-Cut Lamb Chop Wrapped in Mushroom Duxelle and Cabbage
Served with Duchess Potatoes and Sautéed Haricot Verts
Sixth Course
