Join the LFPL for an evening of one-of-a-kind performances that demonstrate how art and stories can help soldiers and civilians connect. Graham Shelby’s multimedia one-man show, The Man on TV, tells the story of his 25-year journey to understand his father, a former U.S. Army Green Beret, who Graham never saw until the day his father appeared on the CBS Evening News. Shakespeare with Veterans, an acting program that helps veterans deal with their experiences, will open with performances of selected texts from Shakespeare.
This event is FREE and open to the public, but tickets are available. Visit LFPL.org or call (502) 574-1644.
This event is also cosponsored by Spalding University’s MFA in Writing program and is part of the Mayor’s Week of Valor. For a complete list of Week of Valor events, visit vcalouisville.org/home/week-of-valor.
