Chef John Varanese invites you to the launch of his own Maker’s Mark Private Select Bourbon! Enjoy a four course meal created by the Varanese chefs, expertly paired with Maker’s Mark bourbons, including the Varanese Private Select. This is a unique bourbon with a hand-picked flavor profile using a combination of custom oak finishing staves. The finished product was aged in a barrel made with a combination of 2 Baked American Pure, 1 Seared French Cuvee, 1 Maker's 46, 5 Roasted French Mocha, and 1 Toasted French Spice. The Varanese Private Select has a creamy mouthfeel with distinct undertones of mocha and a toasted spice finish. The only place to taste this matured, cask strength bourbon is at one of Chef John's restaurants.
Our special guests for the evening will be Bill Samuels, 7th generation Chairman Emeritus of Maker's Mark Distillery and Rachel Ford, the Louisville area's regional Maker's Mark Distillery diplomat. You can learn more about the Samuels family, and the history of Maker's Mark HERE.
