The Islamic Center has invited us all to participate in an early Thanksgiving luncheon on Sunday Nov. 1, from 1-3 p.m, at the center on River Rd. It's a totally free event, open to all.
The center is providing food for all of us, catered by Chef Jarfi. They have said, however, that anyone is welcome to bring desserts or fruit platters if they would like to contribute to the meal.
Parking is limited at the center, so please carpool as you can, and if you need to, you can park in Cox Park, which is just across the street from the center.
Because they are so graciously feeding us and welcoming us into their space, I would appreciate everyone making sure their RSVP to this event is accurate. I know that there are many of you who RSVP'd YES to this event initially in solidarity, and that means a lot to me and the folks at the center. However, to make sure we aren't wasteful with food this weekend, please only mark YES if you can make it this Sunday.
Dr. Babar would also appreciate your filling out this very quick RSVP form if you intend to join us.
