Created by Louisville native and actor Conrad Bachmann the Louisville International Festival of Film’s is in its 11th year! The Louisville International Festival of Film’s or “LIFF” is committed to screening artistic films not usually presented through commercial venues and giving independent filmmakers a place to showcase their work. Festival proceeds are used by The Louisville Film Arts Institute (LFAII) to help fund education efforts focused on training Louisville and Kentucky filmmakers of tomorrow.
The festival has grown each year and now includes 3D films, animated features, documentary features and shorts, horror features and shorts as well as feature length films. Notable past features include ‘The Burning Plain’ starring Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence, 'Le Ride' directed by The Amazing Race Host Phil Keoghan, and ‘Bomb City’ starring New Albany native Major Dodge. Likewise, this year’s festival has no shortage of films with Kentucky connections. In 2018 Over 250 pieces were submitted to the LIFF from around the world.
Tickets will be put on sale in the May and can be purchased at louisvillefilmfestival.org or by calling 502.540.LFAI (5324). Tickets for Opening Night Film Only are $10. Tickets for the Opening Night Party only are $25; VIP Passes, that includes tickets to all events and screenings, are $50.
